Firm History

Allan L. Millstein, CPA, joined his father in the family accounting practice in May 1975, and is now celebrating 46 years in practice. The firm provides tax services to individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts; and accounting, auditing and management advisory services to business clients in the greater New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. The firm prepares individual tax returns for clients in over 25 states.

With offices in Goshen, New York and Ridgewood, New Jersey, Allan and his staff of professionals and administrative personnel continue to serve their clients in the tradition of excellence inspired by the firm’s founder. 

Professional Qualifications & Quality Review

Allan L. Millstein, CPA, PC, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is a registered public accounting firm with the New York State Department of Education. We adhere to all professional standards and educational requirements promulgated by the AICPA, New York State and New Jersey.

All CPAs in the firm are licensed in New York State, and are members of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Allan L. Millstein is also a licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey, and is a member of the New Jersey State Society of CPAs.

In compliance with the accounting services we provide, the firm has undergone a Quality Review (“Peer Review”) every three years since 1986. Each peer review was conducted by an accredited independent third-party accounting firm.

Our latest peer review report (Report on the Firm’s System of Quality Control) was issued on February 28, 2020; and was accepted by the governing Peer Review Committee on June 22, 2020.
